I photographed Katie and Chris’ wedding the weekend before last. It was a hot, hot day but fortunately the beautiful ceremony (officiated by the fabulous celebrant Mark Bassett) was held indoors, in the Ballroom of Ayers House.
Katie and Chris are very special people. I remember meeting with Katie last year and thinking how lovely she was and how exciting it would be to photograph her wedding. I didn’t have the opportunity to meet Chris until the big day, but Katie and I chatted numerous times over email and something that really resonated with me was her enthusiasm, excitement and complete trust in me as a person and a photographer. It was very humbling to have established such a great connection, and on the day it felt like I was photographing a friend.
These two are very much in love and it shows; they were an absolute pleasure to spend time with and photograph, and their bridal party added to the fun with their friendly, laid-back personalities. The day was very emotion-filled and it was just a fantastic experience. Thanks so much, Katie and Chris. xx
